Alumni Ben Harrison attended the FUA Culinary Arts Program at Apicius in 2013. After leaving FUA he went on to open his own catering business in California called Torricella Catering which includes pizza and grilled wood-fired cuisine. Studying in Florence gave him the opportunity to see many different perspectives in the culinary arts field. Ben suggests breaking away from what you know in order to really experience the culture in Florence. “You have to make an effort to seek out the cultural aspects that make the city so fantastic!”
