On March 17, 2018 the Apicius hospitality division of Florence University of the Arts is hosting an international hospitality conference. This event will address Health, Wellness, and Non-Hotel Lodging Trends in the Hospitality Industry. 

The conference will focus on two fast-growing global tourism segments: wellness tourism and non-hotel lodging. This conference intends to analyze current and future trends, and most importantly how their influence will contribute  to a holistic approach to the services offered by hospitality and travel, and how they are delivered/ perceived by industry operators and consumers.

This event is an exciting learning opportunity for all individuals interested in the hospitality field as well as those who have an interest in health and wellness. Highly acclaimed international speakers will be in one place at one time to increase your knowledge in this subject area. Education throughout the world is integral for our future professionals to advance in this industry.

Conference Program:
The 2018 Apicius conference program is available for download. The conference will focus on wellness tourism and non-hotel lodging. The keynote speaker is Kevin Murphy chair, Hospitality Services Department Rosen College of Hospitality Management, University of Central Florida. During the conference there will be a book presentation on “The Value of Study Abroad Externships in Hospitality Education: Experiential Learning.” The conference will also feature a presentation and tasting session with Apicius Culinary Arts & Baking and Pastry Students along with panels discussing the rise of local food in the United Sates, new trends in accommodations, all focused on health and wellness.
